What Is a Discount?
A discount is a reduction from the list price of a product or service. It is applied for campaigns, end-of-season sales, loyalty or bulk purchases. A discount can be given as Percentage (e.g. 20%) or as a fixed amount (e.g. 30 TL).
How Is a Discount Calculated?
- Percentage discount:
Discount = Price × Rate/100, Discounted Price = Price − Discount. On a 200 TL product at 25%: 50 TL off → 150 TL. - Fixed-amount discount: Discounted Price = Price − Discount amount. The rate is found with (Discount / Price) × 100.
